Lin-gang's robots make parking convenient| Updated: Dec 8, 2021 L M S

Robot parking technology has been installed in some newly built parking lots around Shanghai, including at the AGV automatic car parking lot in Crystal Innovation Towers in Lin-gang Special Area.

The technology can use intelligent algorithms to optimize parking space and improve parking density and efficiency.

Vehicle owners often struggle to find an empty parking space and sometimes get frustrated by how other drivers park their cars, or because of the narrow spacing of many parking lots.

Robot parking technology was designed to help address the issue.

From its appearance, the parking robot is similar to a panel. It can automatically slide under a car, lift it up, and move it to the most suitable place according to the intelligent operation of the system which combines data on the vehicle with other information.

The owner does not need to enter the parking lot since the operation is completed by the robot, with the whole process only taking three minutes.

There's an intelligent system to control the robots, covering parking, warehousing, car collection and other procedures.

Owners also don't need to worry about robots accidentally damaging their cars.

Thanks to the use of laser navigation and other technologies, the robot's positioning is accurate to within 5 millimeters, its top speed is 1.5 meters per second, and it has a load capacity of 2.5 tons.

When an owner collects their vehicle they can pay either by bankcard or via cell phone.

With the reservation function, the system will move the car to the parking platform at the designated time. The function enables owners to quickly pick up their cars without waiting.
