The Lin-gang Special Area Administration launched 16 measures on Feb 10 to alleviate the impacts of the novel coronavirus outbreak on local companies.

According to the policies, Lin-gang fully supports companies in fighting the epidemic, particularly those specializing in the production of epidemic prevention supplies, whose production capacity the special area will help to expand.

Companies can receive subsidies accounting for 50 to 100 percent of total expenditures that are used to expand productivity and update technologies to help prevent and control the infection.

A special approval system will be established for companies adapting factories in order to expand production of prevention supplies.

US electric carmaker Tesla's gigafactory in Lin-gang Special Area resumed full production on Feb 10. On Feb 17, its offline stores gradually resumed operation after a brief shutdown due to the outbreak, while its works in the special area was back in full operation.

Tesla has adopted a slew of scientific prevention and control measures to guarantee employees' health, as well as the stability and safety of production during the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic.

Tesla uses digital tools to track every employee's health and route before they come to their working position.

Besides providing sufficient masks, goggles and disinfectant, Tesla monitors employees' health carefully and disinfects working areas every day, to ensure safe conditions.

In addition, the factory offers lunch and dinner, providing a dorm/factory life to reduce the outbreak's influence to a minimum.

A great business-oriented environment is a gold standard. Even if there are temporary difficulties, enterprises continue to come to the special area. A special signing ceremony involving 12 projects worth $2.87 billion was held recently.

The projects implemented various cooperation terms with Lin-gang Special Area Administration by telephone negotiations, online visual telephone confirmation, and signing by representatives in Shanghai one by one due to the outbreak of novel coronavirus pneumonia.
