Fudan University accelerates quality project industrialization in Lin-gang
The Fudan Lin-gang industrialization innovation platform was recently unveiled at the annual conference of the Academy for Engineering and Technology of Fudan University in the Lin-gang Special Area of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone.
The platform will introduce the academy's high quality development projects to the Lin-gang Special Area for industrialization. The form of platform plus projects will help gather high quality research and development teams of Fudan University, as well as leading talents in global high-end industries and entrepreneurship projects.
The Lin-gang Special Area has basically completed the preparation of "one platform and four innovation centers + eight mature projects".
The platform is the Guanghua Lin-gang platform, which will connect various resources of the Lin-gang Special Area. The "four centers" refers to the intelligent robot innovation center, the semiconductor micro-nano engineering innovation center, the wide bandgap semiconductors and beyond lighting innovation center and the biomedical engineering technology innovation center.
They will enter the substantive construction stage in 2020 and will focus on organizing corresponding R&D teams of Fudan University to carry out R&D and project initiation with industrialization of frontier technology as the target.
The Lin-gang Special Area is expected to invest an additional 650 million yuan ($93.31 million), and receive at least 150 million yuan in competitive R&D funds and industrial service revenue in the next three years. At least 15 enterprises will be incubated and more than 20 will settle in the area to form more than 100 standards and obtain patents and related achievements.
